7.4/10

My stay at The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel was pretty enjoyable, with a prime location and friendly staff. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast options and some minor service hiccups. Despite these issues, the accommodations were clean and well-kept, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The room was nicely decorated but on the smaller side, which I expected given the hotel's age. The walk-in shower was a highlight, though I did struggle with the handheld shower wand spraying everywhere! The room's lack of carpeting and modern amenities were nice touches.
Service
7.0
The staff were overall friendly and attentive, from the doorman to the check-in personnel. However, I did experience some delays in room service and a lack of clarity during check-in, which could have been better.
Location
9.0
The location of the hotel was fantastic! I parked my car across the street and walked everywhere, exploring the beautiful streets of Charleston with ease.
Dining
6.0
While the convenience of the attached restaurant was great, the breakfast left much to be desired. The food quality was poor; the pancakes were inedible and the bacon was rubbery. I recommend seeking breakfast elsewhere for a better experience.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were decent, but I wished for more meeting spaces as the restaurant wasn't open during the day. The coffee shop had good biscuits, but the food options were somewhat limited.

My stay at The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel had its highs and lows. The hotel boasts a fantastic location that's perfect for exploring downtown Charleston, but my overall experience was muddied by some downsides. While the staff service was really good, the room lacked the comfort I anticipated, with challenging noise levels and a disappointing view. Overall, I wouldn't rush back.

Rooms

My room was clean but faced a wall and flat roof with equipment, and I encountered noise issues from nearby wedding guests. The check-in process was promising but didn't deliver the comfort I expected.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay, particularly the valet and bar team who were really good. However, my requests regarding room changes were not met with the desired level of responsiveness.

My dining experience fell flat. the breakfast options were underwhelming and the restaurant atmosphere didn’t feel inviting, which was a letdown compared to what I'd hoped for.
Facilities

The hotel had solid amenities, and the rooftop pool seemed inviting, but the overall experience was dampened by overcrowding on certain days.

My stay at The Lindy Renaissance Charleston was quite enjoyable, thanks to the friendly staff and the vibrant atmosphere. However, I did face some issues with my room not being as large as I had anticipated, which was a bit disappointing. The location is fantastic for exploring Charleston’s historic district, making it easy to access plenty of dining and shopping options.

Rooms
8.0
I found my room nicely furnished and comfortable. However, I expected a bit more space considering the hotel’s reputation. The bathroom features were modern, but I struggled with the handheld shower faucet.

The staff provided really good service; they were attentive and friendly. I especially appreciated Hannah, who went the extra mile to accommodate my family's needs. The dining staff, like Laine and Paige, were cheerful and helpful, enhancing my experience.
Location

The hotel's location couldn't be better for exploring Charleston. It’s within walking distance of various restaurants and attractions, allowing me to enjoy the historic beauty of the city comfortably.
Dining
9.0
Dining at the hotel was a pleasant experience. The food was consistently delicious, especially the breakfast options, though I would have preferred a more upscale breakfast setting separate from the coffee shop.
Facilities

The hotel offered good facilities overall. I enjoyed the rooftop pool and appreciated the cleanliness throughout the hotel. However, I wish there were more spaces for meetings or work.

My stay at The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel was enjoyable, thanks to its prime location and really good staff. However, I faced some issues with the room that detracted from the overall experience. The valet service and check-in were seamless, which is a huge plus, but the cleanliness in the room was unfortunately not up to par during my visit.

Rooms

The room was spacious and modernly decorated, but I encountered some cleanliness issues that needed addressing. Despite the initial mess, the king-sized bed was comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with a large shower, which I appreciated.
Service

The hotel's location is fantastic, just steps away from King Street's vibrant bars, restaurants, and shops. It made exploring the historic sights of Charleston a breeze, which I loved.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were quite appealing, with a coffee shop on-site where I enjoyed some delicious treats. However, breakfast could use some improvement in terms of variety and presentation.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were well-maintained with modern amenities, and the ambiance in the lobby and bar area was inviting. I loved the rooftop pool, which provided a nice place to relax after a day of exploring.

I recently enjoyed a long weekend getaway at The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel, which is perfectly situated close to all of Charleston's charm. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciated the convenient amenities like the rooftop deck pool and bikes for exploring the area. However, the breakfast buffet left much to be desired, and I found the morning noise from housekeeping a bit bothersome.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring modern design elements without any carpeting, which contributed to a cleaner feel. I especially enjoyed the well-sized walk-in shower and the abundance of charging outlets.
Service
9.0
The staff, particularly the bellmen and the concierge, were really good. They offered attentive service, insightful dining recommendations, and were genuinely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Location
10.0
Located just a block from King Street, the hotel's prime location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants, which I loved. It allowed me to explore all the historic sites nearby without needing my car.
Dining
6.0
While I appreciated that the hotel had a restaurant on-site, my experience with the breakfast buffet was disappointing. The food quality did not meet the hotel's otherwise high standards and left me wanting more variety and better taste.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered great facilities, including a lovely rooftop pool and a coffee shop in the lobby that had good food. However, parking was a bit pricey at $20 a day, though self-parking was a convenient option.
